Training in Schools of GULAG NKVD USSR During the Great Patriotic War

The article considers the peculiarities of personnel selection and recruitment of penitentiary staff in schools of GULAG NKVD USSR during the Great Patriotic War. Analyzed archival materials, first introduced in a scientific use, identified problems of development of school system GULAG NKVD USSR in 1941–1945 and professional training of penitentiary staff.

System-synergy Philosophy as the Methodological Basis of Pedagogy

The article describes the system synergetics laws (the law of systems, the law of harmony, the law of systemogenesis, the law of motion, the law of development and self-development, the law of congruity, the law of synergetics), which in its unity determine synergistic selforganization of all different nature systems, including the pedagogical systems, and along with the settled laws of materialist dialectics (struggle of opposites, negation of negation, transition from quantity to quality), constitute the methodological basis of modern pedagogy.

Institutions for Noble Girls in Educational System of Russia in the Second Half of XVIII – the Beginning of the XIX Century

The establishment of women educational system in Russia is associated with Catherine the Great. In 1864 she opened the first school for women in Russia which got the name «Imperial Educational Society for Noble Girls». Later it was named Smolniy Institute. The fact that it was not only an idea of education for women but real steps put into practice for establishing and development of this system let Russia significantly advanced comparatively with many other European countries.

Methodological Bases of Management of Quality of Art Education

The article is devoted to methodological basics of control of the quality of art education, which are an important component of the quality management system of artistic education, aimed at training of a specialist artistic profile. The author considers the strategic goals of quality management of education at the University of artistic and creative profile, highlighting the preparation of competitive creative personality, the activities of which are directed towards service to self and society.

Optimization of Teaching Vocationally Oriented Reading English Texts by Means of Emotionalization (as exemplified by teaching students of geology at a technical university)

The main contradictions in foreign language teaching to future geologists at higher engineering and technical educational establishments are formulated. The practicability of improving this process through optimizing teaching vocationally-oriented reading by humanizing and emotionalizing it and also by rendering a productive philological orientation to it is substantiated. The essence of the above-said principles as applied to teaching vocationally-oriented reading in a foreign tongue to students of engineering is presented.

Analysis of the Major Philosophical-Pedagogical Concepts in the United States of America in the XX Century

The article is devoted to analysis of the major philosophical and pedagogical concepts in the United States in the XX century: pragmatism, behaviorism, humanism, constructivism and cognitivism. The subject matter of the research is peculiarities and trends of the educational thought in the United States in the context of the formation and development of the education system in the United States in the XX century.

Theoretical Aspects of Preparing Future Teachers for Diagnosis of Students’ Education Results

This article discusses the conceptual approaches to future teachers’ training to diagnostic of pupils’ educational outcomes: system, values, activity, and competence. Interdisciplinary research of essence of professional training made it possible to outline philosophical, psychological and pedagogical aspects. Systemic-structural analysis of students’ diagnostic activity is held and specific of each element: aim, motives, content, skills and results is presented.

Journals are considered as the capital and provincial cadet and junker schools, analyzes the participation of teaching staff of educational institutions in the preparation of publications.

Musical Education in Connection with Changes of Performing Arts Paradigm

The article studies urgent problems of musical education connected with deep processes of musical art evolution. The author focuses on academisation and changes in paradigm of performing art caused by it. The changes are aimed at the increase of self-value of musical piece and decrease of the importance of performing art’s communicative function. That can bring about inevitable changes threatening the performing art as a form of creative activity. The mentioned above tendencies call for reconstruction of the conception of musical education.
