Transformation of education: Possible perspectives

In the light of the growing technological revolution, the question of the viability of traditional education has become more acute. They try to persuade the proponents of digital transformation that it is inefficient in the new conditions. Schools and universities are intimidated by the generation Z which is "non-compliant" with standard approaches. They spend most of their free time online, have a clip way of thinking and are unable to concentrate their attention on something for a long time.

Content of training in cross-cultural interaction of post-graduate law students by means of the English language

The article is devoted to the problem of education content that is significant for modern pedagogical theory. It is written using teaching English to postgraduate students at Saratov State Law Academy as an example. A foreign language for postgraduate students in higher education institutions has always been associated with the postgraduate students’ major in which they carried out scientific research.

Organizational and pedagogical conditions for the implementation of the educational process for visually impaired students in a complex sanitary and epidemiological situation

The article reveals the organizational and pedagogical conditions for the implementation of the educational process for students with visual disabilities at a time when they are particularly vulnerable to the current circumstances of the global COVID-19 pandemic. The necessity of using e-learning, adapted distance learning technologies, and external electronic resources in the educational process of the University, taking into account nosologies in a complex sanitary and epidemiological situation is substantiated.

Development of students' cognitive abilities in the conditions of the university meta-educational space

The article analyzes the role of imagination as a cognitive ability in preparing students to carry out prognostic activities in the conditions of the meta-educational space of a pedagogical university. The goal is to substantiate a new vision of such a psychological property of the human psyche as imagination in the educational process while preparing students for prognostic activities. The methodological basis of this approach in our study is Kant's idea of three components of human knowledge: feelings, imagination and thinking.

The use of artificial intelligence techniques for distance learning

The article describes some practices of voice recognition technologies based on artificial intelligence to improve the educational process in a remote format. This is relevant to modern remote education environment. The author presents an analysis of existing approaches to the use of artificial intelligence technologies in the educational process. Elements of artificial intelligence in a specialist software make the educational process more modern and convenient both for the learner and the teacher.

Use of interactive teaching technology at different stages of a university foreign language class

The importance of communicative learning of foreign languages in higher education has increased due to economic, political and cultural processes taking place in the world nowadays. The problem of finding effective means of ensuring the communicative nature of the educational process seems to be highly relevant at the present stage of teaching methodology development. The use of interactive methods can help teachers to implement the requirements of the Standard in the organization of the educational process of teaching foreign languages at university.

Formation of patriotism among the younger generation in the modern school environment

 Статья посвящена проблеме возвращения патриотической работы в современную систему школьного воспитания. Цель исследования – изучить особенности формирования патриотизма как незыблемой ценности в воспитании подрастающего поколения. Сравнительный анализ понятий «патриотизм», «гражданственность», «национализм», «интернационализм» показал, что исторически воспитание патриотизма у детей и молодежи пересекается с формированием гражданственности, организацией дружественных межэтнических отношений.

Pedagogical support of increasing the level of self-organisation in students within a project by means of developing and implementing an individual educational trajectory

Increasing the level of self-organization and self-development competences is an urgent issue for students and graduates. The author considers applying a project method to be an effective way of developing self-organisation in students. However, it is very important to choose the type of a project which can ensure achieving the goal of increasing the level of self-organisation in learners. Individual practice-oriented long-term projects are viewed as the best option. On the basis of the research works analysis we single out three main stages of project activities.

Modern American school during the crisis of the colorblind racial ideology

The article analyses the ideological crisis, which the US system of education faces nowadays. It evaluates the colorblind racial ideology that has remained predominant for several decades, its basic features, strong and weak points, and a number of social racial problems, which arose due to the prevalence of this ideology in schools and colleges of education in the USA. The author brings a set of reasons given by supporters of the considered ideology, and proves the fact that despite its original right-mindedness this ideology often gives reverse results.

Main difficulties in the development of the assessment competence of teachers

This article discusses the relevance of the problem of teachers readiness to develop assessment competence. A modern teacher should have professional competencies to adequately and objectively assess not only the quality of educational planned results of students, but also the quality of their own educational activities. To implement new and modern procedures for evaluating and controlling the quality of professional and educational activities, every teacher must have the desire and willingness to develop evaluation competence.
