The problem of correlation between musical preferences of listeners and their individual psychological features is examined in this research work, with particular focus on the correlation between an individual’s degree of psychomotor problem solving success and the character of his/her musical preferences. The data obtained as a result of the research testifies in favor of the assumption of an existence of such a correlation.

Now the system of education must not only communicate knowledge but it must help students to take an active part towards their own activity, it must help students to become a personality and a profiessional. The interaction between personal competetive ability and cognitive motivation of educational process participants in high school is researched in this article.

The results of the factorial analysis personal representations the friendly interactions received by means of an author's technique of the reflective self-report «I and my friend» are presented in the article. Scientific ideas about the basic components of friendly interactions are expanded and filled by the new empirical maintenance: mutual trust as a basis of any interactions; mutual reciprocal altruism as semantic setting; empatic resonance as mental and emotional understanding of Other, absolute acceptance as a recognition of authenticity and value of Other.

The article presents results of associative experiments carried out in 2008 in Germany and in 2011 in Russia. It focuses on the most frequent associations of Russian and German students. The comparative analysis revealed that the in-group stereotypes of Russians are more positive than those of Germans.
