Introduction. The inclusion of project technologies in the educational process contributes to the qualitative development of productive thinking and universal learning activities, which helps in solving educational, developmental and upbringing tasks. Introduction. Modern school education is undergoing renovation, thanks to the implementation of the national project “Education”. The contradiction between the need for a teacher to possess a number of professional competencies and their insufficient formation determines the request to institutions for additional professional education to form the teacher’s professional subjectivity which can create conditions for eliminating professional difficulties.

Introduction. Critical thinking is increasingly in demand in professional activities and private life, however, education systems do not fully answer to the request of its formation yet. The main solution is usually considered to be the implementation of exercises on critical thinking in subject classes. Practice shows that effective implementation of such exercises requires the formation of an educational environment in which initiative and independent activity of a student are encouraged.
