The purpose of this article is to analyze various approaches to studying the problems of media space in modern society, as well as the definition of clear common characteristics attributed to media space in various theories of media in social philosophy.

Clip Thinking in the Context of Educational Practices: a Socio-philosophical Analysis

The article is devoted to the analysis of clip thinking as a phenomenon of the information society. In the context of global computerization, a person constantly interacts with the information and telecommunication network – the Internet – through various devices, which greatly affect his analytical skills. As a result of this interaction, he ceases to think globally and analyze large volumes of serious information. His consciousness becomes mosaic, and his thinking is fragmentary.

The Idea of Justice and Citizenship in Modern Russia

The article analyzes the relationship between citizenship and understanding of justice in modern Russian society. Justice plays a decisive role in the behavior of citizens and the specifics of their civic positions, therefore the research in this area is always relevant. The study is based on the Freudo-Marxist approach, and is carried out by means of the method of critical philosophical reflection. The main attention is focused on the specifics of Russian citizenship in terms of the dominant ideals.

Technologization of Society as the Factor of Sociocultural Changes

The article considers the main processes of technologization of the modern society as a fundamental cause of value and sociocultural changes in public life. The author also describes the changes in the value transformation of society, focusing on the relationship between social, cultural and industrial-technogenic changes. The society is considered by the author as a heterogeneous object from the dynamic point of view, different subsystems of which develop at different speeds.

V. A. Kutyrev’s Phenomenological Substantialism Program

The reader is presented with the manifesto of the phenomenological substantialism of the Nizhny Novgorod philosopher V. A. Kutyrev, published in the form of his new monograph. The departure to machine and digital immortality is criticized by the Volga thinker as yet another seduction of a technocratic civilization, digital self-deception. Kutyrev Vladimir Aleksandrovich is known as a social philosopher, a leftist conservative, a supporter of controlled progress. His papers and books are an event for the Russian intellectual life.

Socio-psychological Consequences and Factors of Modern Globalization

Globalization identifies the significant changes in consciousness of a modern person. Transformation deal with subjective, personal, individual characteristics, and also the basic kinds of human activity – professional activity, learning, and communication. Socio-psychological consequences of globalization are defined in the space-time (territorial and subjectively-temporary identity), socio-cultural and other dimensions.

Globalization of Environmental Consciousness

The article is focused on the process of environmental conscience globalization, which is founded on human consciousness ability to perceive and recognize existence of a single biosphere + human community system. Planetary environmental conscience evolvement and formation factors are studied, such factors being: empirical knowledge acquired when a person is interacting with natural environment, great discoveries, international commercial and economic relations widening, travelers and scientists’ writings.

The Phenomenon of Forgetting and the Dialogue of Cultures in the Globalizing Society: the Russian Experience

The article is devoted to phenomenon of forgetting as an integral element of dialogue of cultures in the being globalized world. It is possible to allocate not only ways of preservation of historical memory, but also types of forgetting in a context of sharp social transformations of society. A specific of historical amnesia in the conditions of modern Russian society consists in an attempt to correlate phenomena of live, communicative memory to essentially other political symbolics.

Intercultural Discursive Strategy: Socio-Philosophical Analysis of Interaction between Russia and China

One of the major challenges of our time is to create a new conceptual framework for implementation, interpretation and prediction of interaction between Russia and China in the area of contemporary intercultural discourse. The choice of strategies of intercultural interaction of Russian and Chinese culture bearers is objectively defined by culture coordinate system in the range of the implementation of management strategies.

The Secular and the Religious Aspects in Modern Education

One of the peculiarities of modern communication is the desire to learn another culture not singling out its values, i.e. the qualitative characteristics of the modern world development is the unconditional priority of knowledge over traditions. Thus, the immanent aspiration of any culture to a dialogue is opposed to the actual running globalization. Modern globalization process is, first of all, the birth of the new social system, built on the domination of informational technologies.
