The article considers knowledge and information from the point of view of influence on human life, the role of knowledge in the modern world. Various approaches of understanding knowledge and information, differentiation of concepts of information society and knowledge society are considered. In article reconstruction of the concept of Russian religious
philosopher V. I. Nesmelov is given, in particular it’s gnoseological
aspect. Questions of a parity of belief and knowledge are considered,

The article discusses the philosophical background of successful patriotic education, which is fundamental, not related to the sociocultural situation. The relevance of the issue arises from the need to formulate methodology for patriotic education, which optimizes efforts for developing and implementing specific programs of patriotic education.
