Ways of coping with lockdown during COVID-19 pandemic: Positive approach to the analysis

This research is a response to topical objectives of studying adjustment abilities of human psyche in the situations of global uncertainty and potential threat to human life. The research is aimed at the insight into the ways of coping with lockdown during COVID-19 pandemic. The goal was achieved within the positive approach employed to find psychological resources that encourage successful and subjectively satisfactory solution to a difficult life situation.

Homo Digitalis: Request for a new personality configuration

The article presents the results of scientific reflection, the object of which is Homo Digitalis as a representative of the modern digital society. The aim of the article is to study the emerging configuration of the individuality of Homo Digitalis as a response to the demand of the digital world.

Theoretical study of the definitions of the concepts “psychomotor skills” and “psychomotor abilities”

In the article the author presents a description of the historical and theoretical analysis of the changing views of scientists – from classics to contemporaries-on the content of the conceptual and terminological apparatus for studying psychomotor phenomena. The purpose of the work is to study and analyze scientific approaches to the definition of the concepts of “psychomotor” and “psychomotor abilities”, as well as to identify the constituent and system-forming components of the phenomena behind them.

Severity of self-regulation processes in teachers with different types of professional self-attitude

The article, based on the presented empirical material, reveals the problem of professional self-attitude and its types among teachers with different levels of expression of conscious self-regulation. The study covered 157 teachers of comprehensive schools of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra. The age of the examined is from 31 to 45 years. We used the technique “Attitude to yourself as a professional” and the questionnaire “Style of self-regulation of behavior”.

Features of the psychological stability of the individual and the manifestation of the phenomenon of emotional burnout of employees of the penitentiary system in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic

The article is devoted to an empirical study of the socio-psychological aspects of the problem of emotional burnout and psychological stability of employees of penitentiary institutions in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The relevance of studying the problem is due to the fact that the requirements for employees of the penal system have increased in connection with the spread of a new coronavirus infection and the workload on staff has increased due to the tightening of sanitary and epidemiological requirements for working conditions.

The first Saratov professor of psychology A. A. Krogius: On the 150th anniversary of the scientist

The article is devoted to the 150th anniversary of the outstanding scientist of the XX century A. A. Krogius (1871–1933), who was at the origin of Russian experimental psychology and pedology in the early 1900s, the founder of Russian typhlopsychology. Krogius was a European-famous psychologist and worked for 12 years (1919–1931) at the Saratov University, becoming the first professor of psychology in Saratov.

Positive psychological counseling: Theoretical bases and methodological foundations

The paper gives grounds for designing a new creative model of positive psychological counseling that focuses on developmental and preventive objectives rather than on correctional ones. These developmental and preventive objectives include actualization and transformation of personality resources, optimization of productivity and full personality potential, and tackling them helps overcome normative difficulties, achieve important life goals, implement inmost values and increase subjective well-being.

Socio-psychological characteristics of convicted persons who have committed violent and self-serving violent crimes

The problem of studying the socio-psychological characteristics of criminals who have committed violent and self-serving violent crimes is extremely relevant. This is due to its insufficient study, the high prevalence of convicts of this category in the population of convicts, the ability to understand the causes and origins of their criminal behavior. The aim of the research is to study the sociopsychological characteristics of convicts who have committed violent and self-serving violent crimes.

Socio-psychological Consequences and Factors of Modern Globalization

Globalization identifies the significant changes in consciousness of a modern person. Transformation deal with subjective, personal, individual characteristics, and also the basic kinds of human activity – professional activity, learning, and communication. Socio-psychological consequences of globalization are defined in the space-time (territorial and subjectively-temporary identity), socio-cultural and other dimensions.
