Value Relation and Cognition

The article is devoted to the consideration of the ontological meaning of the concept of «value relation» in the process of cognition. The scientific novelty of the research consists in substantiating the methodology of a holistic consideration of the problem of the role and place of the value relation in the system of bases of scientific cognition. This methodology assumes the consideration of social, historical and epistemological factors and allows us to consider the development of science in connection with the values of the dominant scientific paradigm.

Reflections on the Media: Discourses of the Media Literacy

The article analyzes two discourses of perception of reality: postmodern and media. The main characteristics of a person’s understanding of their situation in the world are singled out. In post-modern discourse formed rhizomatic approach to understanding space that substantiates the state of so-called “new opacity”. The author makes an assumption according to which the idea of postmodernism can be reduced to the crisis of human interaction and a certain historical social environment in which it is closed in its own locality.

World Risk Society in Ulrich Beck’s Political Philosophy: Logic and Irony

The paper is devoted to the analysis of world risk society in the social philosophy of Ulrich Beck. Actually her philosophy can be considered the political philosophy and thus it focuses on historical perception of risk society and revealing of its new features in the modern era. The article considers innovations that distinguish the world society of risk from the previous society of modern and postmodern risk: the difference between risk and catastrophe, risk and cultural judgments about risk.

Participative Interaction and Social Stigmering as Processes of Social Self-organization in Modern Society

The article is devoted to the consideration of participatory interaction stigmergy as a network form of social self-organization, implemented in a transparent, situational and non-hierarchical, and a source of social synergy modern society. The author emphasizes the horizontal character these processes and compares with the principles of nomadology J. Deleuze and F. Guattari. Networking today is an important process in any social, economic and cultural system. Cooperation of stakeholders allows to achieve significant results jointly.

To the Problem of the Features of Existential Philosophy of N. A. Berdyaev

In the article, the problem of the religious nature of the existential philosophy of N. A. Berdyaev is considered. It is shown that his understanding of his own philosophy as the existence of the spirit affected the way he understood the issue of freedom. For a philosopher, freedom is a state of mind, and therefore, the problem analyzed is not political and not legal, but exclusively religious.

Democracy at the Concepts of the Alternative Directions in the Russian Philosophy (at the End of XIX – First Half of XX Centuries)

The article describes the comparative analysis of the concepts of democracy put forward by the representatives of the alternative directions of Russian philosophy at the end of XIX and first half of XX centuries. The author of the article notes the development of the ideas of democracy, observed and described in ancient Greek philosophy, by such thinkers of the Enlightenment as Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Charles-Louis Montesquieu, and others.

The Reception of G. Tard's Views in Contemporary Social and Philosophical Discourse

The main idea of the article is attempt to trace and briefly state, on the basis of what preconditions in modern social and humanitarian knowledge, and in particular in specific social and humanitarian disciplines such as philosophy, sociology and anthropology, the revival of ideas and ways of conceptualizing social phenomena of Gabriel Tarda. The aim of the article is to provide the reader with some material on the fact that among representatives of modern anthropology there is a certain turn, or «return», to the so-called mimetic practices.

The Competition Between Science and Pseudoscience in the Post-truth Era

The article deals with the competition of scientific and pseudoscientific trends in informal knowledge of the social networks. The author obtains new data on the mechanisms of introduction of scientific knowledge into the space of network communication in the post-truth era. She examines the ordinary knowledge, explores the processes of its formalization within the framework of the institutes of professional production of knowledge and deformalization in the conditions of informal Internet communication.

Empty Place: the Voice of Social Reality

Is it possible to be surprised that cognitive interest in the problem of space, both theoretical and practical, remains stable and even steadily grows along with changes of the ways and character of spatial relations and connections in the society. And is it not natural that this mostly contradictory process depends not only on variability of social and spatial coupling, but also on the point of view of the investigators’ interest. All this opens up new ways of understanding the spatial aspect of social existence in urban conditions.

The synergetic, co-evolutionary interaction of globalization processes, the transition to sustainable development and the formation of solidary relations is analyzed. The content of each of these concepts is revealed, their author’s definition is proposed, their prerequisites, regularities, factors, elements and mechanisms are revealed.
