Article is devoted to a research of processes of globalization in the context of the structure and specifics of transformation of global society. Against the background of globalization there is a deformation of the existing subjects that often is represented researchers of society as something, destroying social solidarity. The special place in the context of the delivered problem is allocated to a dichotomy research «collective – individual». The author criticizes the dominating theory that because of globalization there is individualization.

М. Halbwachs founded new school – social studies of memory. М. Halbwachs's works related to collective memory problems turned out to be highly actual and productive for humanitis of late XX and early XXI centuries. His works include the issue of correlation of collective and individual memory and history, memory and tradition, the problem of social and cultural memory functions.

This article presents an analytical review of the existing in academic and political areas interpretations of the phenomenon of «global terrorism». Exposed intellectual and ideological positions are structured according to acknowledged periodization of the European Universal history conception, i.e. under the sign of tradition, modern and postmodern. In the article we attempted to understand and solve the problem of ideologizing the tradition in its most popular form such as traditionalism. We tried to show how the emergence and spread of the ideas of traditionalism depended on the role and degree of awareness of tradition in society. The influence of tradition changed throughout the history of society.
