“The most important of all arts”: Film images of the Soviet past in the Russian myth-making practice

Introduction. The article investigates the specifics of cinematic images of the USSR in Russian myth-making practice. The main objective of the study is to analyze the impact of images of the Soviet past, created and broadcast by post-Soviet cinema, on the formation of historical memory about the USSR. Theoretical analysis. The study is based on the hypothesis that cinema is one of the significant aspects of myth-making, which directly participates in the construction of collective representations of the past.

Conscience and historical memory in the context of Russian culture

Introduction. The work is aimed at revealing the dialectical relationship between the sense of conscience and historical memory, the conditionality of both by the dominant ideals of culture. Theoretical analysis. Using a psychoanalytic approach and the method of critical philosophical reflection, the author focuses on the conditionality of the cognition of history, and at the same time historical memory, by the restrictive framework of conscience, set by the specific orientation of an individual to the ideals of culture. Empirical analysis.

The Image of War: the Problem of Content and Formation

War as a complex social phenomenon can be analyzed from different perspectives: it appears as a socio-political phenomenon, as a civilizational, as an existential one. Digital Philosophy of History: Problem Statement

The article raises the problem of the possibility of creating a digital philosophy of history. The initial thesis of the work states the fact of the crisis of the traditional philosophy of history, the absence of meta-narratives which introduce global historiosophical concepts, and the unsuitability of the existing categorial apparatus for describing the realities of the digital world.

Introduction. The article is devoted to the study of the representation of the image of the USSR in foreign and domestic video games. The main purpose of the study is to examine the specifics of the impact of video games on the historical memory of the Soviet past. Theoretical analysis. The study was based on the hypothesis that video games in the conditions of mediatization and digitalization of public consciousness turn into one of the significant factors in the formation of historical memory.
