The origin of the bibliography of preschool education and childhood

Abstract: 

Introduction. Pedagogical literature played an important role in the development of preschool pedagogical science and practice in the 19th century. The pedagogical bibliography became a tool ensuring the effectiveness of the impact of literature, the tasks of which included the systematization of pedagogical literature, its organization and presentation in appropriate indexes. Thus, the analysis of its origin and development is an important part of the history of preschool pedagogy. Theoretical analysis. In the course of our research, we revealed the scientific, methodological and bibliographic conditions for the formation of the national bibliography of preschool education and childhood. Conclusion. The role of F. N. Mednikov in the development of the concept of pedagogical bibliography and the definition of the place of bibliography of preschool education in it is revealed. The place of bibliography in the formation of preschool education is clarified; an overview of the main bibliographic indexes is given; the core of scientific and methodological literature on preschool education is revealed and ways of its further study are outlined.
