The discourse of transgression as a way to the revival of the Subject

Autors:
Makarov Sergei K., Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov
Abstract:

Introduction. Modern philosophy is faced with a crisis of the Subject. The question “Who comes after the subject?” becomes relevant. The author believes that it is necessary to talk about the Subject in order to defend a Human as a self-determined being, but it needs to be done “in a new way”. In order to answer the question of how the Subject should be thought of in modern philosophy, the author turns to the discourse of transgression. Theoretical analysis. The concept of transgression is revealed through the concept of the Beast as one’s Other of a person based on the philosophy of G. Bataille. Transgression brings about a return to the natural, but indirectly, in a purely “human” way. The author connects the concept of transgression with such concepts as unconscious, authenticity and metanoia. The author substantiates the point of view that transgression is a way of gaining authenticity of existence. According to the author, transgression carries out the restructuring of the ontological foundations of the subject on a new basis. It is shown that the discourse of transgression provides grounds for explaining the condition for the possibility of the subject’s development in the process of redefining his own foundations. The role of the unconscious in the process of transgression is revealed. It is indicated that due to transgression, the zone of possibility for the subject expands. Conclusion. The author comes to the conclusion that the appeal to the discourse of transgression makes it possible to revive the figure of the Subject in philosophy.
