Contemporary Russian Society and Social-philosophical Analysis of its Definition

This paper explores an operationalization of the concepts for contemporary Russian society. Drawing on theoretical frameworks of some concepts such as postmodernism, consumer society, post-industrial society the authors operationalize them. Our findings suggest that contemporary Russian society has a wide range of definitions. It is defined as post-historic, network or information society, postmodern society, etc. The set of different concepts represents Russian society and makes a definitions confusion. Such definitions should be applicable to modern Russian society.

Transhumanism as the Ideology of a New Social Order

This article analyzes the impact of the information society values on the formation of a new social order. A new social order is focused on transhumanist ideals and pursues the goal of creating posthumanity. Cybernetic immortality, not a natural continuation of the species, is the main purpose of the information society. There is a new system of social values, based on the ownership of the means and information channels. All of the above changes, in turn, lead to the formation of new social order, in which simulation turns into real life.

Ecological Values as Protection against Gender Dysphoria: a Socio-philosophical Analysis

The article is devoted to the analysis of the influence of the ideology of transhumanism on gender self-identification. The values of transhumanism are very successfully institutionalized in modern, especially Western, society, and this process is fraught with serious threats to human being. In the process of analyzing this phenomenon, the author comes to the conclusion that the result of such institutionalization often becomes gender dysphoria, when a person can not fully accept his gender status of a man or a woman.

Knowledge as a Strategic Resource: the Methodological Foundations of Research

The article considers knowledge and information from the point of view of influence on human life, the role of knowledge in the modern world. Various approaches of understanding knowledge and information, differentiation of concepts of information society and knowledge society are considered. It is suggested that pseudo-knowledge is a stepping stone to the emergence of fundamental knowledge and is part of its development. Man in the modern era receives a huge amount of information, which leads him to “information shock”.

Subject Bases of Virtualization of Social Reality in the Information Society

The article is devoted to the consideration of the determining role of virtual reality in contemporary society. The author is positive about virtual processes that can become a tool for the development of a social system. The trend of virtualization of classical social institutions is being asserted. The author examines the history of the concept of “virtual reality”: from medieval approaches to Russian virtual studies. Virtual reality is recognized as a multi-layered formation, whose interpretation is not limited only to digital virtual reality.

Clip Thinking in the Context of Educational Practices: a Socio-philosophical Analysis

The article is devoted to the analysis of clip thinking as a phenomenon of the information society. In the context of global computerization, a person constantly interacts with the information and telecommunication network – the Internet – through various devices, which greatly affect his analytical skills. As a result of this interaction, he ceases to think globally and analyze large volumes of serious information. His consciousness becomes mosaic, and his thinking is fragmentary.

Toposes of Modern Society: the Reflection of the Ways of Informatization

The target programme of the author’s approach presented in the article includes the study of the methodological functions of concepts-toposes capable of uncovering the essence of changes in the life space of a society, changes caused by the increasing influence of the Internet. The main stages of the informatization of the modern society are presented in the article by toposes of late industrialism and information toposes of post-industrialism which have emerged in the “post” era.

Genesis of the problem formation of digital intercultural competence in the period from the 1970s until the early 2000s

The analysis of works on the problems of vocational education pedagogy made it possible to highlight the crisis points in its development, associated, first of all, with the inconsistency of the educational results content with the requirements of employers and the priorities of state policy in the field of digitalization and innovation. The system of forming employees' key competencies has become one of the priority conditions for the creation and effective functioning of the Russian state innovative economy.

Information and communication technologies in the context of modern development of society

Introduction. Constant use of technical devices in everyday life increases the risks of occurrence and realization of communication strategies of behavior that have a negative impact on human relations with the outside world, and it affects the ability to perceive information, the formation of interpersonal communication skills, and the ability of conflict-free interaction in offline format.
