The causality of the presentation of the theme of kalokagathia in the period of antiquity and in the late novels by F. M. Dostoevsky

Introduction. This paper provides the analysis of the concept of kalokagathia: its interpretation in Antiquity and its subsequent influence on the novels of the “great Pentateuch” by F. M. Dostoevsky. Kalokagathia should be understood as the harmony between the spiritual world and its bodily incarnation i.e. the connection between the anthological and the ontological. This problem, which is enduring, seems relevant at the present stage of development of scientific knowledge.

Learning as Conversion in Classic and Christian Traditions

The article considers the option of training as an appeal to a new system of views, leading to a change in worldview and self-understanding. The idea of such a pedagogical transformation arises in antiquity, and then in its own way is rethought in Christianity, on the basis of which medieval ideas about pedagogy are formed. The development of the idea of education as a transformation, a qualitative change in the personality of the student is traced in the transition from the metaphor of “re-volution” to the concept of “conversion”.

The Formation and Development of Ancient Philosophy of Mythology

In the article the process of emergence and development of ancient Greek philosophy of mythology is considered. The main trends in interpretation of the phenomenon of mythology by Ancient Greek thinkers are analyzed. The study of this issue allows to understand the special features of the process of demythologization and rationalization of public consciousness, and besides it allows to establish the reasons of this process.
