Introduction. Both long and short forms of questionnaires are needed in scientific and practical activities. In recent years, the scientific direction of psychology of personal corruption has been actively developing. But the variety of psychodiagnostic tools in this area is small. The objective of this work was to develop a short form of the questionnaire of moral and legal reliability of a person by E. Yu. Strizhov. Its main drawback is its large volume: 108 questions with a 6-point answer scale. Theoretical analysis. The semantic content of the term “moral and legal reliability of an individual” is described, and data on the validity and reliability of the questionnaire are provided. Empirical analysis. The procedure for selecting questions for the short form is described. 15 questions were selected, all of them correlate with the full questionnaire in the range Rs = 0.51–0.77, p < 0.0001, n = 101. The final indicator for the short form correlates well with the full form Rs = 0.94, p < 0.0001, n = 101; with the Dispositional Egoism Scale (K. Muzdybaev) Rs = −0.66, p < 0.0001, n = 101; with the Social Responsibility Scale (L. Berkowitz, K. Lutterman adapted by K. Muzdybaev) Rs = 0.58, p < 0.0001, n = 101, with direct questions about the admissibility of bribes and theft. Cronbach’s alpha is 0.8, n = 257; correlation coefficient with retest Rs = 0.76, p < 0.001, n = 59; Ferguson’s discriminability coefficient δ is 0.96. Descriptive statistics data are presented, n = 257. Conclusion. The shortened version of the questionnaire has good psychometric indicators.
