Psychological Factors of Labor-Attitude and Self-Attitude of the Unemployed

Abstract: 

Unemployment emerged in the market economy conditions does not result from anybodys malicious intent. It is fairly objective since an actual margin in a labor subjects consumer cost causes not only a selection of the best but also a social rejection of a certain percent share of the capable of working population. Dealing with this part of the labor resources is an objective not only of the social agencies, but also of the psychological ones. The present paper examines psychological, psycho-physiological, motivational, and behavioral characteristics of the unemployed and out-of-work citizens recorded by an employment agency of Kamyshin Center on affairs of the unemployed. Experimental-diagnostic work carried out in a complex way with over 100 unemployed persons made evident that groups of adults, youth and handicapped citizens statistically reliably differ. The research results are recommended for introducing into relevant programs for population employment assisting. Detected peculiarities of groups engaged into the experiment are applied in psychological supporting citizens who happened to lose their jobs as individual professional consultations, group consultations, clubs of those seeking job, and New Start courses. It has been proved that forms of assistance for the unemployed carried out in his direction are surely effective.
