Today the investigation of social personal image has a big practical and theoretical importance, caused by the transformations in our social life. The problems of tools and peculiarities of imagology in the field of pedagogy are not investigated sufficiently and are actual today. It requires the systematization of different approaches in this field.

The processes of transformation and replacement of many traditional concepts are clearly observed in the frame of modern philosophical science. Social groups are the mediums of cultural memory, since the processes of communication among the members of the groups act as the constant indicators of the relevance of the information circulating in the society. Fixing of this information in written texts helps to form an identifying core.

Introduction. Nowadays there is a tendency towards more critical and creative use of digital graphic elements for educational purposes. Modern generation of students and schoolchildren was born in the era of social networks, digital technologies and touch screens and now they live through visual content. However, being technically knowledgeable, modern information users are visually illiterate and easily fall for «fakes» and media provocations.
