Abstract:

Introduction. The high level of physical and psychological stress caused by the general instability in the world and the specific features of wartime places special demands on the psychological training of military personnel, and also highlights the importance of improving, developing, and applying psychological technologies that allow the formation, maintenance, and restoration of personal effectiveness among military personnel. This article presents a domestic development that contributes to solving this problem: the soteriological technology for restoring and maintaining personal effectiveness among military personnel (“psychological fitness”), as well as a description of the theoretical model of soteriology technology and examples of its application. Theoretical analysis. Sotering (from the Greek – “Saviour”) was formed by 1997 in the course of consulting practice with the heads of organizations. Sotering technology is visualized in the model of a “soteriological circle”, which includes six critical elements for the effectiveness of management activities: B1 (attention), B2 (will), B3 (faith), B4 (vision), B5 (time) and B6 (power). Each element contains its own psychological description and is equipped with a set of psychotechniques for self-diagnosis and self-correction of this function (element). Sotering is implemented in the form of individual, group and team training under the guidance of a psychologist-trainer with the aim of training, therapy or maintaining optimal “psychological form” and is carried out in the metaphor of a psychological “obstacle course”. The key objective of the training is to transfer technology from the trainer to the training participant for independent use in the conditions of real professional activity. The main active component of soteriology is the algorithm for performing psychotechniques, which is represented by the model of the “soteriological circle” with the numbering of elements that determine the order of working with the elements. Soteriology demonstrates its effectiveness in three cases: preparation for completing a task, psychological recovery after difficult situations, and maintaining optimal psychological fitness. The specifics of applying the soteriological algorithm in each of these cases are defined as the preparation strategy, the recovery strategy, and the maintenance strategy. For independent use of the soteriological algorithm by military personnel express versions of the algorithm can be used, which take three to five minutes in real time. Conclusion. A special feature of the soteriology technology is the possibility of its application by the user independently, without the participation of a psychologist. At the same time, the independent use of the soteriological algorithm should be preceded by training under the guidance of a specialist. The conditions for the effectiveness of the technology are: the following of the algorithm and the compliance of psychotechniques with the individual characteristics of the user.
